How ordering and delivery works
Lovaton Farm meat orders can be made online, however, we will usually contact you to discuss aspects of the meat cuts in case there are any special requirements. We will then send you an email confirming your order details. Please note we only take BACS payments or cheques cleared in advance of despatch.
We will also confirm details of delivery and payment. We will need a full address and postcode along with contact details and a telephone number. In addition, we need a location for where the meat box can be left safely in the event you are not at home (eg. garage, shed or neighbour), otherwise the courier may only leave a card and not the actual box.
All orders, subject to availability, are usually despatched for delivery on the Wednesday or Thursday of each week, as long as the order is received by 6pm on a Saturday. In exceptional cases, the order may be delayed to the following week to make sure you have correctly hung and freshly cut meat produce.
Our meat is packed in a box with ice for transport and delivered by courier, collected direct from the farm butchery. We normally use a ‘pre-12’ delivery basis. Therefore, if your order is delayed more than two hours beyond the expected time, then please contact us immediately on 01647 231649 or 07895 097328, so we can contact the courier to find out where there may be a problem in plenty of time to try to rectify any issues.
Orders can be delivered to an alternate address especially when sending as a gift for relatives, friends and special events. We can enclose a message, if required.
Delivery Costs are: free for orders over £200, £5 for orders between £120-£200, and £12 order less than £120. We deliver only to mainland UK.
Deliveries can be made on other days of the week by special arrangement, subject to courier agreement. However, please bear in mind, being a small family farm, our production days are normally Monday and Tuesday. We wish to make sure your meat is delivered to you in as fresh a state as possible.
Our meat itself is vacuum packed in clear bags with sausages and burgers overwrapped in cardboard trays. Meat can be despatched in non-vacuum bags, however, please bear in mind this also reduces the shelf life unless it is immediately frozen on reception. All our meat is suitable for home freezing.
During peak periods (Christmas & Easter), we cannot be held responsible if a courier cannot deliver by a specific time, they may run late. We will track a delivery through our local courier if you notify us of an order not arriving in good time. Please do not delay if you suspect such a case, a delay may make it harder to resolve an issue. Please make sure we have all the correct information at order time.
Many thanks for your order.
Jane, Simon and Callum at Lovaton Farm.
