Directions - The Whiddon Down exit of the A30 is 20 miles west of Exeter and the end of the M5 and 15 miles east of Launceston, Cornwall.

  1. From whichever way you approach turn off the A30 at the Whiddon Down/Services Exit, signposted Whiddon Down, Chagford, North Tawton, etc.
  2. Drive about 500 yards into the village of Whiddon Down, then take the first right signposted Winkleigh (A3124) just after the ‘Hog and Hedge’ services/Esso Garage.
  3. Drive for about one mile and cross back over the dual carriageway. As soon as you have gone over the bridge take the first turning left. The  lane is signposted “North Wyke Research”. After 3/4 of a mile Lovaton Farm is on the right, with a stone walled entrance. Follow the signs for B & B and park on the gravel at the front of the farmhouse.
